MORE THAN A PLACE ON A MAP

Some journeys
bring you closer.

A surname. A faded photograph.
A village your grandparents talked about.

Your family records and stories are our starting point. I help turn them into a visit to ancestral places, with local history, conversations and time to understand the world your family knew.

I bring preliminary journey preparation, local knowledge and practical arrangements together. If deeper genealogical research is needed, we agree a separate specialist scope before proceeding.

01 / DISCOVER

Prepare the journey.

Review the family information you already have, clarify place names and plan possible visits. Preliminary preparation is agreed around your journey.

02 / RETURN

Walk the places.

Visit ancestral villages, churches, cemeteries, and family homes where accessible. Let the history become something you can feel.

03 / CONNECT

Make it personal.

A private itinerary shaped around your family and your pace. Guiding, translation, transport, and logistics with one local contact.

TINA’S JOURNEY · BOBREK

A village became a family connection.

My role
Preliminary family-history preparation, archive visits and local guiding, connecting the available records with places and people.

Tina came to Poland hoping to see where her grandfather was born. Research in Kraków, Katowice, and Bielsko-Biała helped identify the family home in Bobrek.

Parish registers reached back to the 18th century. The search uncovered an icon artist in her family line—and living relatives who shared photographs and stories.

“Thank you for an amazing experience that I can’t wait to share with my family.”

Tina Bryndza · California

Records, places and family connections.

We connected records from three cities with parish registers and the places in Tina’s family history. Along the way, we learned that her great-great-grandfather was a renowned 19th-century icon artist. The documents and family conversations added new chapters to the journey.

Brody, Krosno, Rzeszów, Przemyśl. George’s search meant working through changed place names and historical borders. Family records, Arolsen Archives, and IPN sources helped narrow the leads and shape a personal itinerary.

My role was to connect the available family information with a practical visit: clarifying possible locations, planning the route and sharing the local history and context along the way.

The aim was a personal encounter with the region connected to his family, with time to experience the places themselves and to ask questions as the day unfolded. Detailed genealogical questions remained distinct from the local guiding and travel arrangements.

Eugene, thank you so much for the great trip. Will never forget it!!

MOSHE’S JOURNEY · SEJNY & SUWAŁKI

Three days. A family home found.

My role
Local guiding, connecting family places with their history, helping locate the family home and allowing time for personal moments.

At 86, Moshe made a journey to the places connected with his family around Sejny and Suwałki. Over three days, I helped bring those places and their Jewish heritage into a personal visit.

The journey included the synagogue and the cheder, the former Jewish school. I also helped locate his family home—turning a family connection into a real building and a place he could stand.

It is the kind of journey where local guiding and family history meet: finding the places, opening a conversation, and making time for what matters to the person returning.

These are individual family journeys. What can be discovered depends on the available information, surviving records and places accessible during a visit.

YOUR HERITAGE JOURNEY DESIGNER & LOCAL GUIDE

Hi, I’m Eugene.
Let’s bring the places closer.

I’m based in Kraków, and I specialise in designing and guiding personal journeys to the places connected with your family in Poland.

My path has taken me from law to cultural management, guiding, and organising events. What brings it together is curiosity about people—and the patience to work through the details.

With 11 years in Polish tourism and more than 500 tours guided, I know how to turn a plan into a meaningful day. For an ancestry journey, that also means leaving room for a conversation, a discovery, or a place you want to stay a little longer.

My work includes Catholic and Jewish heritage, with a particular focus on southern Poland and historical Galicia.

A THOUGHTFUL WAY TO BEGIN

From your first clue
to your first footsteps.

  1. 01

    Tell me what you know.

Names, places, family stories, or a photograph. You don’t need a finished family tree.

  2. 02

    We make a plan.

We identify the places, priorities and pace of your visit, and agree whether further specialist research is needed first.

  3. 03

    I do the groundwork.

Preliminary preparation, local contacts, visit arrangements and practical logistics shape your itinerary.

  4. 04

    You experience the story.

We explore ancestral places together, with local context, conversations and room for the moments that matter to you.

THERE’S NO PERFECT STARTING POINT

What do you
have so far?

01 / A FIRST CLUE

A name is a beginning.

Share the names, documents and places you know. I’ll explain what may help us plan a visit and whether more family-history research is needed first.

Tell me about your family

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING

Before we begin.

Can we start if I know very little?

Yes. Share what you have. If an ancestral place is not yet identified, I’ll explain what information would help and whether a professional genealogist should investigate before we plan your visit.

Can you help if I still need genealogical research?

My specialism is the heritage journey: planning, guiding, local context and practical preparation. Full archival investigations, verified family trees and documented genealogical reports are separate specialist services. If you need them, we can discuss involving a professional researcher under a separately agreed scope.

What if the name or border has changed?

I help relate historical place names and changing borders to today’s locations and local context. Questions that need detailed documentary verification can be referred for specialist research. My strongest local knowledge is in southern Poland and historical Galicia.

What does a journey cost?

Your quotation reflects the locations, duration, preparation, guiding and practical arrangements. Any professional genealogical research is a separate scope and cost, agreed before work begins.

Can you work with travel advisors or heritage groups?

Yes. I can help turn your research or your clients’ family information into a personal visit in Poland. We agree the itinerary, guiding, local arrangements and client handover. Professional genealogical research remains a separate responsibility.

YOUR NEXT CHAPTER STARTS HERE

Let’s see where
your story
takes us.

Tell me a little about your family and what you hope to discover. A 20-minute conversation can help us see where to begin.
